-CombadZ is a new kind of 3D animation software, something different never done before.
-110% compatible with any stand alone renderers and modelers, even future ones not yet invented.
-Close to 0 Cpu and 0 Memory usage (even for scenes with millions of animated objects).
-User interface stays the same at any resolution and is fully skinnable with sound.
-The software is as or more powerfull than any other middle-range 3D solutions (although it cannot be directly compared)
-Use a new kind of animation system that will change the way we animate and can remove the need for most scripting.
-The way you move and modify objects, parameters, animation or entire scene is really easy, fun, and precise much like puppeteering.
-It can do much more, but I cannot reveal without explaining the simple secret behind it's technology.
-There is no magic, all this and much more is possible only by a different way to work with 3D software, not everyone will like it.
What it's not
-CombadZ is not a modeler, well not in the traditional definition.
-It's not a renderer and character animation is limited.
When and how much
-This software will be sold for 128.00$ usd around febuary 2011 for Linux, Windows and Mac.
-A free fully functional demo will be released at the same time. With the only limit that it will only save 8 objects.
-The licensing will be attached to the owner, no limit on installation, but only the owner has the right to use it.
A new philosophy in software design
This software is entirely made by myself, Jean-Sebatien Perron.
I do 3D animation since 1989 and know, own or used almost every 3D software on the market.
This project began with my frustration from using what the 3D industry has to offer
and my desire to try new tools and new ways to improve my workflow.
I started this project in 2005 when I accidentally stumble on something that really scared me at first :
a way to make a 3D software support any possible present and future technologies in 3DCG.
All sotwares are closed by design, they are made with the present in mind.
They need constant update and recoding to support new features.
Also their complexity never stops increasing.
CombadZ is going the opposite way.
-Now support absolutely all the features of Renderman, Povray, Sunflow, Mentalray, Redqueen, YASRT and all the others.
-Can be use as a native level editor for 2D or 3D games.
-It's now easy to create and animate particles, smoke, fire or a water fountain by hand.
-Building a random windy forest, a busy city or a marching army can be done and adjusted in realtime.
-Animating complex interrelated motion with precise timing is now fun and easy.
-There are 3 external tools programmed in Python that will be released as OpenSource.
-Now improving the interface to better support Tablet PC or Pad
-CombadZ is now fully completed and working, what is left to do is to remove stupid bugs, create sample scenes, write documentation, create website, make video tutorials, find a way to sell it on the internet and do publicity.
-CombadZ is a c++ software using freeglut for graphic and openal for sound and is currently beeing coded on code::blocks.
-At the end of it's marketing life (10-15years I hope), it will be released as open source.
